## Description
Contingent Upon Award of Contract (Basic Function
Summary: The Maintenance Foreman is responsible to the applicable Maintenance Supervisor or Intermediate Maintenance) for all maintenance functions as outlined in the Government contract. Leads and directly manages assigned personnel. Directs and assigns maintenance priorities to production work centers and the flightline support services work center. Responsible for scheduled maintenance planning to level load work centers to the greatest extent possible. Ensures data completeness and verification of outstanding discrepancies.
## Qualifications
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 10 years aviation experience, with 5 of those years in a supervisory capacity FAA Airframes and Power Plant License (A&P;) preferred or documented aircraft hands-on/senior supervisory history in the military, or a commercial aviation operation Must successfully pass the written exam for Certification of Aircraft as Safe for Flight Education/Training Requirements: Formal or Specialized Training or Equivalent High school diploma or GED Hazardous Waste Communications Security Clearance Awareness FOD and TCP Awareness Operational Risk Management, Anti-Terrorism, and Security/Safety Training AS9100C Program Awareness A0009 Certification/Re-certification Requirements: FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (A&P;) desired, Safe for Flight Certification, valid state driver's license Responsibility Level: Responsible for the direct supervision of up to 20 employees and indirect supervision of up to 100 employees Other Key Qualification Requirements: Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and flight operations as required in DOD and applicable directives In-depth operational knowledge of the Air Force Aviation operating procedures Computer literacy and in-depth knowledge of contract maintenance organization and Company policies and procedures highly desired Ability to perform mathematical computations and to read and write English clearly L-3 Vertex is an equal opportunity employer.
