The Receptionist is responsible for relaying incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors in a professional manner and performing various clerical duties.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Operates a multi-line telephone system, takes accurate messages and transfers telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
Maintains daily call log.
Greets and screens incoming visitors in a professional manner and promptly notifies appropriate person of their arrival.
Follows all building security procedures for visitors and reviews security video monitors.
Distributes incoming mail on a daily basis, and prepares outgoing mail using postage meter.
Operates standard office equipment.
Types correspondence and memorandums in proper format and proofreads and mails as assigned.
Maintains an adequate office supply inventory and requisitions additional items as needed.
Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a receptionist.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
